Benjie del Rosario
Benjie studied at Trinity College of Music, London where he gained a distinction in his Postgraduate Diploma Course. During this time healso won The Wilfred Hambleton Clarinet Prize for Excellence and was a finalist in the Gold Medal Competition.
Since graduating Benjie has appeared in various concerts performing major clarinet concertos and instrumental works. He also formed the wind and brass ensemble “Rosario”. Benjie’s orchestral work includes:co-principal with St. Paul’s Sinfonia and guest principal with the National Musicians Symphony Orchestra. He is also on the extra list of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Opera House Orchestra.
He has undertaken advanced clarinet studies under Anthony Jennings, Fiona Cross, Nicholas Cox, John Bradbury and Jenny McLaren. Currently he studies under the private direction of Julian Farrell.
